Another twist in the road

My mom has been diagnosed with breast cancer.  Surgery is scheduled for a mastectomy, and then she will begin chemo.  Nothing is quite as hard as watching your parents in tears and unsure of the future.

Acts 14:22… “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.”

Luke 6:21b… “Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.”

Psalm 9:10… “Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.”

Proverbs 18:10… “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.”

Psalm 32:7… “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.”

Psalm 33:20… “We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield.”

Psalm 34:17-18… “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.  The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
